ReplyDeleteremembering you with this Parable of Immorality:
ReplyDeleteI am standing upon the seashore
A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sun and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, "There she goes!"
Gone where? Gone from my sight-that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just a able to bear her load of living freight to the places of destination.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, "There she goes!" there are other eyes watching her coming and other voices ready to take up the glad shout,
"Here she comes! "

Your little girl knew more love in her first nine months and her most recent five days than many children know in a life time. She, through you and your family, have blessed the rest of us in ways that we cannot explain. My heart is truly broken for your loss and I pray that you find solice and joy in the knowledge that she is with God. We can celebrate her life, the dedication of your family, and the love that you all shared.
ReplyDeleteI was watching the snowflakes glitter as they drifted today and thought about how briefly they stay around. Our lives are brief, like the snow flakes, but the beauty and wonderment visible in them lives for ever.
We are praying for you and hope for swift healing. John Jackson
God Bless you all.....You are truly an amazing family.....Thank you for sharing your journey.....Kathie Lacey (I am a friend of Clayton's)

ReplyDeleteI know I have never met you, and I just learned of your beautiful family just a couple of days ago. I read your entire Blog Friday night with tears and chills all over.
ReplyDeleteYou have been on my mind almost constantly since then. Your witness to Christ is so inspiring. You remind me so much of the Blessed Mother. She also knew her child would die, but she carried Him, nourished Him, and loved Him still the same. She did it, not for herself, but for the entire world past, present, and future. Just as you have done with Adalynn. You have shared your Faith and courage with so many people, and I believe the message of your Faith will not depart this world with Adalynn, it will linger and spread to even more people.
God Bless you and your family!

Dear Vinett family,
ReplyDeleteThis prayer was sent to us by a true angel when we were needing strength.
Much Love,
The Rosa's
Whisper of Angel Wings
Today I stumbled and
once again
Was lifted up by an
unseen hand.
What comfort and joy that
knowledge brings,
For I hear the whisper
of angel wings.
The guardian angels God
sends to us all
To bear us up when we
stumble and fall.
Trust Him, my friend, and
often you'll hear
The whisper of angel wings hovering near.
Erika,
ReplyDeleteYou and your family are in my thoughts and prayers! What a miracle!! All along, doctors never thought she would make it home from the hospital. What a precious gift! You all got to spend some extra time with her.
Her time here was brief, but significant and life changing for you all and every one that has followed you and your family on this journey. Heaven has another angel and she's watching over you and your family until you meet again.
God Bless,

Erika and Ryan, Father Mike told us today about Adalynne going to her Home in Heaven last night. She did her job here by bringing joy, happiness and love to you and your family. I feel like I got to touch an angel. It was a true blessing to meet her and you. Thank you for that. Please know that I will continue to pray for you all. If you ever need anything please call. Erika and Ryan and boys,
ReplyDeleteYou all look so happy in all your pictures-just how I imagined you would look. You are so right, every child is God's child and every day He gives us is a gift. You have taught us all that every day of our pregnancy is a day in the life of our child- from their first day of conception. Thank you for sharing your sweet miracle with your fellow friends and parishioners. Your writings were beautiful, just like your princess! I hope to meet you all some day.
God Bless,
Molly Von Haefen

Erika, Ryan, Harrison, Houston, and Adalynne,
ReplyDeleteI have never met you, but I was at the hospital the night Miss Adalynne was born. I work with Katie in the NICU. She spent January 4th showing us Ryan's paintings - both on canvas and Erika's tummy. Since that night I have been thinking about your family and praying for peaceful hours. From your blog, I can tell God chose the best family possible for Adalynne to meet in her time on earth. You are incredible people. I feel honored to "know" such amazing people, even if it is from afar. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
-a caring NICU nurse
Thank you so much for sharing this with the world. You are truly a witness of God's mercy and grace.
